Smoke , dust and fumes have engulfed our streets. Air quality is at an all time low. Though not as bad at metropolitan cities, the pollution index of Vadodara is 67.46, which is considered High. Air pollutants not only damage the ecosystem but also cause a wide range of diseases like asthma, bronchitis, lung cancer and heart attack. A study found that outdoor air pollution is the sixth largest killer in India. There are 4 Indian cities in the top 10 of the most polluted cities in the world.<\/div><p>Green areas in urban landscapes are a great benefit for both us and the environment. They filter dust and pollutants from the air as well as contribute to the health of soil and water. Urban green cover not only beautify cities but help bring down temperatures.
